Bianco-Valente were invited by Dynamo Camp to lead a series of workshops with the parents of the children with disabilities hosted at the facility in San Marcello Pistoiese.
The artists devised a collective act meant to bring out, through a liberating gesture, the many forms of unexpressed energy that these parents accumulate day after day, amid the small and large struggles imposed on them by bureaucracy, by school, by a society that often seems a step behind their real needs.
Mothers and fathers who are always forced to face every situation while keeping calm, as a first form of protection for their own family.
The artists invited them to use a hammer to transfer this unexpressed energy onto a block of Carrara marble, which, in its new form, finally makes it visible and gives it a place of its own in the world.
The four sculptures born from this performative act were then put up for sale: the entire proceeds went to fund the activities of Dynamo Camp.
